How's The Weather Today?

The weather here right now is weird.

It is brilliant sunshine at the back of our house. At the front it is black and pouring with rain. The black rain cloud is not that big, but boy is it dropping the water.

Very warm (high 80's Fahrenheit), rainy and humid here today. Starting to cool down some (low 80's currently).

Amethist--that dark and rainy on one side of the house, bright and sunny on the other side is something we experience here often during our summers. Funny weather we have here!

Hot!!!! It's now summer time in Florida. The temp is in the low 90's F and the humidity is building. This build-up time is miserable. Hot, humid, not rain to lower the temps in late afternoon. The plants are brown and crisp and there's a sort of dirty haze in the air. Once the rain starts again it will be a lot better.

Forecast for the next six months in Florida can be summed up in three words: Hot, damn hot.

It has just gone 11pm here in the UK and the temp is still up in double figures. Outside it is 18 deg C and inside it is 23 deg C. It is going to be another scorcher again tomorrow. It got up to 27 deg C at one point today in out back garden, but it is south facing and is a real sun trap.

It's a chilly and overcast morning here in Sydney.

I must say, I have a giggle when 27 deg C is called a scorcher.

Yes, thinking of 27 deg C as a scorcher makes me giggle, too. Marlene (Lisa) and I live in the same city...today it was 93 deg F (or approx 34 deg C) and this is only the beginning of summer. (Technically it isn't even summer yet, spring for most people but in Florida there are really only two seasons.) There are much hotter days in store for us in the near future. 27 deg C would be considered a cold front where we live. :wink:

Its a nice night...so I've been spending hours outside on the patio. I never knew what I was missing. ITs great, relaxing (finally!) and peaceful. Perfect night just to sit out and smoke hookah, which I am doing...and watching british tv. lol

consider me ignorant...but i didn't know it got cold in Australia. I guess american television shows it was hot and you know...crocodile hunter? ( if there was a blushing smiling face there would be one here)

Hahahahahahahaha. Yeah, we get portrayed as a bunch of kangaroo riders, when in honesty, a 1/4 of us actually have cars :-P

Nicolette is in Melbourne and it certainly is one of the colder places in Australia, during Winter anyway. I'm in Sydney and it gets cold here, but we don't get snow and day temperatures really don't get below 12 deg C in Winter, it drops below zero some nights though.
