I lived through a hurricane in Mississippi when I was four years old. We evacuated to a air base and when we got home there were all kinds of big trees down. It was a big mess.

Please evacuate if you are told to. You are not replaceable. My heart goes out to you. Hugs and prayers for your safety if you accept them.

I am north and west of Boston and the wind is howling. We still have power here but there are several more hours of wind and rain ahead. The local news is just covering Sandy. Those on the coast are really getting hammered. Prayers for those to our south who are getting the brunt of the storm!! Also prayers for our law enforcement, military and emergency personnel who are out in the mess helping those who need it.

Prayers for everyone involved. This is really scary. I am shocked at how many refuse to evacuate. I am following the storm coverage. They sure are trying to stay on top of this one, and I am glad. I really feel for the people. When there was a huge fire in the mountains, we had to evacuate. We went to the red cross shelter. Ii was sure a good feeling to go home.

I hope this storm is not as bad as they are predicting.

Thanks for all the well wishes! Things are getting nasty over here! Luckily, by the time it hits me it should only be flooding and high winds. Fingers crossed the temprature does not drop.
