I am So Fedup With Treatment

Must disagree with you Cracker. The military does not prepare its personnel for the possibility of trauma and mental illness. Far from it actually. However. Would be a good idea if they did.

Jim.

My apologies, Jim, I thought they would. However my point about they assumed the risks going into the career still is valid point.

Bye and Good Luck

I am new to this forum but Anthony is not. He has been abrasive, demeaning and critical. When I asked him to stop he refused stating that he had a right to because he was an administrative editor. I have only tried to be a polite as possible and tried to clarify misunderstands. I am sorry that Anthony does not have ability to speak to me in a non-threatening manner.

Feel free to monitor, mock me, restrict me, etc. I have already decided that I don't want to be apart of this abuse. Good luck to everyone in their efforts to heal. BYE

I have approved this post but only to prove a point of this user being deceptive and it is not tolerated on this forum.

This is the same post new user jenny_b posted. I deleted it because of identical IP address with ptsd_cracker. Shortly after deletion this one rolled in... So yes both users are one in the same.

Cracker, a side note to you (and all others who may think this is OK). I hope you understand I will and do take the best care I can for this community as a whole, they are my extended family. Members who take on a new user name to pose as another to try and make a point or drag attention to believed misconduct will absolutely not be tolerated. You will find this and your other user name banned now. I will also take from deletion the post you made under the other user name and merge it here for you. The sad part is that if you had just posted this to begin with without deception it would have not come to this. It would simply have been commented on by others here.

Some new users may slip by, but please do not forget editors are here to prevent these types of actions to keep our community safe and honest. Try honesty next time, it will take you far.

Cracker, I have a purpose to achieve what must be achieved, and I am sorry you seem to be offended, but I am telling you directly, it works and has continues to work. You are in denial, you admitted in this thread that you do want sympathy. I have been through it myself and it doesn't work, it does us no good. You come here to help yourself, and that rules out sympathy. I do not allow people here to garnish sympathy for their abuse, it isn't helpful to anyone, period. That doesn't mean I go and kick people out of here, because even I have been through that stage. My task is to help you past that stage, just as someone helped me past it. You cannot see what you do not yet understand, and this is why this community exists. Many people come here in denial, or they carry a certain amount of denial / sympathy, which we help identify to themselves. The best way to get the truth is to get a person angry. That is a fact. Sorry, but it works.

Here is the real point though, and this is my exact intent. Your revealing the real problem now, being you where abused by a male so "all" males must be abusive towards you if they do not agree with you. This is the exact reason for upsetting you in the first place, to make you angry, because then you start revealing the exact real core issues. You don't trust "all" males now, because that is your mindset.

To add to your points above; nobody every told me that going into combat could, maybe, might, give me PTSD. Nobody explained to me what PTSD even was, nor you could get it from operations. I got PTSD from my operational service, and that is my responsibility for that. I was angry at the military for a long time, believing it was all their fault. I wanted sympathy for that, and I was wrong at that time in my life. It wasn't until someone pushed at me to realize the negative actions I was taking instead of looking for more positive actions and reasoning that I moved forward. I stopped blaming the military, as it wasn't their fault entirely. I signed on the dotted line, so I immediately own some responsibility for that. I joined them, not the other way around. Yes, they neglected to advise me about PTSD, the long term issues of operational service.... they own that. I could go on being angry at them, but guess what? They don't care, so the only person being affected by this would be me. Not a good choice.

Lets be honest, if some poor woman working as a stripper was raped and got PTSD, lots would say she brought it on herself. Not me, let me make that clear, but lots would. What your saying is the same shit, different pile IMO. Is there a scale of worthiness from 1-10 when it comes to trauma? Someone abused as a child would be #1, and a soldier maybe #5 or lower? Where on the scale would you place prisoners? Police officers? Firefighters? Battered wives? Something to think about maybe?
I must say Travis, excellent point. I have a slightly different variation on the prostitute aspect, though excellent point. Cracker, no person asks to be raped, ever. That doesn't negate them as more important or less important. Turning back to a prostitute as an example; they place themselves within an industry that increases their risk of being raped, that is a fact. Sounds familiar to a soldier, police, fire, ambulance or emergency services worker, doesn't it? They put themselves in a higher risk bracket for developing PTSD, but don't actually ask to get PTSD.

That aspect they must own when and if raped, and lets be honest, if you chose to prostitute yourself you would be extremely high risk of being raped. Again, no person asks to be raped, ever. Just because a person wants to prostitute themselves for money, that doesn't mean they want to be raped, though they must own they are placing themselves in a higher risk bracket for such an occurence, thus they cannot totally blame the rapist, but must carry some of the ownership themselves for increasing their risk. Again though, no person, male or female, asks to be raped, otherwise it wouldn't be rape if they condoned it.

Oh and cracker... far from impressed that you have registered under another username to be deceptive, "jenny_b" in order to help yourself garnish support. Not very honest of you now!
