New Here
Hi. Im brand new here. My boyfriend has PTSD related to combat. Lately we have been fighting and two days ago he kicked our dog because she chewed his charger. She had a limp for two days. A month ago he body slammed her for biting him.

I told him he can not do that to her anymore. He said I nag him about it and that I don't understand the PTSD.

We were in a screaming yelling fight this morning over me not understanding and him saying he has to defend himself. My son says he doesn't like him for the yelling.

Im so lost

He needs treatment. Having PTSD doesn't give him the right to lash out at others. He needs a better way to vent his frustration. :(

Welcome to the forum, btw.

PTSD is no excuse for violence. There is never an excuse for violence. You need to keep yourself, your son, and your pet safe.

Welcome to the forum. Best of luck to you.

Sounds like he's using PTSD as an excuse for poor behavior - I agree with protecting yourself, your son, and your dog. Be safe.
