I feel pain (sometimes intense) in linked areas. Is this normal (and part of) for PTSD? or is it...?

I'm not going to go on what exactly happened to me as a whole, kinda obvious though, haha. You judge.

1) I've gotten my nipples "tortured" if I could say it like that, during an assault. It bled, still have a mark. gross, I know. That was almost a year ago, so definitely healed. Basically everyday, I feel sudden pain that varies in intensity. usually light, sme days I clench my teeth. But it's always on one of them…the one that wasn't as hurt. This is so weird ?, I'm kinda cringing. I only got it twice or so, on the other side, only on a day were I felt the worst I ever did in this whole aspect. And that hurt bad. I can often feel the person biting or whatever. Does this sound like a body memory? I'm asking this since I've heard ptsd "memories" can easily overlap into psychotic symptoms...and this seems a bit too weird...
2) my wrists often feelsort of grabbed/turned and a bit painful.
3) I feel pain in parts that were scratched
4) I feel pain at times inside me, if you know what I mean.
5) I sometimes feel pain where I was kicked and hit.

And just to say, all this stemsfrom events that happened at least almost a year ago. So I don't think that would be healing, oh well idk.

First of all, I am sorry you are going through all that. it sounds very hard to deal with. Obviously, I am no therapist and there are much wiser people on the ways of PTSD here who will comment. But this certainly sounds like body memories to me. Everyone in movies always portrays PTSD as visual memories but for me, it has always been feelings in the body.

I hope you are getting support to deal wit what has happened. You will find a lot of great people here, welcome to the forums.

I feel "phantom" pain the same way in the parts of my body that were hurt. I think that this is pretty common for us PTSD'ers.

Yep. Happens to me all the time. I think of it as a body flashback. Check out the book The Body Keeps The Score. He does a great job of explaining it.

Some of that may well be nerves recovering from damage & displacement. It can take a couple years for those suckers to wire up right, and for the brain to stop giving them priority billing when they yelp.

The rest sound like flashbacks.

You may well know, but in case not... Flashbacks aren’t just movie/nightmare style full immersion, but can be any of the 5.5 senses (sight, hearing, taste, touch, scent, emotion) relived, rather than remembered. Singly, or in groups.

Time is relative. It's been 8 years since my trauma that set everything off. I am healing and in many ways a lot better...I am dealing with other stuff, but in terms of flashbacks I mostly don't have them anymore...buuuut sometimes there is unexpected trigger and then in the week following I tend to get flashbacks and sometimes body memories too. Some of yours were the same as mine, for example the wrists. Sorry you're going through that:(.
