Lucky me! I'm getting e-stalked by him because he apparently has nothing better to do on his ship while it's underway than dig through shit I post on the internet. And he's pretty pissed about this thread. How do I deactivate my account? Or, at the very least, how do I delete old posts I've made? The "edit" button seems to disappear after some time. :/

Unfortunately, as too many people have learned, once you post shit on the Internet it's out there for the whole world to see - probably forever. If he's upset, oh well. I think there's quite a degree of neediness going on in both directions here. He'll get over it.

I think he was trying to find evidence of me misbehaving. If this is what he's getting mad about, he's grasping at straws. We're both needy, but he claims I'm not needy enough.

Being needy is not really an asset, nor is it a compliment when someone suggests that that's what you are. It's sort of implied that people who are "needy" are so in need of attention that they will fall for the first one who pays them the least bit of attention. Or, whoever pays them the MOST amount of attention wins their affection, regardless of the quality of that person or the real strength of the relationship.

If either (or both) of you fit into this category, then I wouldn't bank on a commitment as serious as marriage. Just being needy usually isn't enough glue to hold it together for very long, especially as the neediest of the two becomes more and more distrustful of the other.

Once something is posted on an internet site for a day or so, the web crawlers from the internet archive grab the information. The internet archive "wayback machine" (remember Rocky and Bullwinkle?) supposedly keeps all posts forever.

PS -- If squiddly diddly is harassing you on internet, a chat to his Executive Officer or Captain will get it stopped post haste. Commanding officers are responsible for the actions of their subordinates... Check the UCMJ for that one!

Seriously Raven Darlin` speak to Anthony if he can do anything. And as Tim has mentioned chat with his Ex O.

Failing that. Think seriously about the relationship before you go any further with him.

But why should you deactivate your account? He is obviously the one with Security issues not and not you. If he is insistent on you not being here and not talking about your problems, you need to get him to talk a long walk on a short pier and F*ck off.

The guy isn`t good for you. If he cared he wouldn`t make such demends.

And the good thing about that is.....You bloody well know it!

Hang tough Sister

Raven - I agree with Angle's first-cut assessment. I dealt with a few cases of my female soldiers being harassed by their romantic interests. Some administrative punishments levied on the offender cured the issue in most cases. For the few that insisted on continuing the harassment, a visit from my MPs turned into an attitude changing experience (think sap gloves here). I'm sure his Captain will deal harshly with this sort of behavior. Like the US ARMY, the US Navy has a zero-tolerance policy to sexual harassment and internet stalking. Try this site for help:
