I Realize That I

I realize that I can be Queen of the Universe or Chief Pot Licker in the very same day. I put too much pressure on myself to accomplish things and need to grant myself permission to take a day to scratch, read, or watch the clouds move.

I realize I need to keep telling myself it will be ok.

I have come to finally accept and realize that if a person does not see nor hear me nor understands me, I will go on to the next person until I find the one that does, because I have learned that the people that see and hear me,and understand me will always go out of their way to help me.

I had that sudden feeling of being alone again today, I had just come in from filling the bird feeder with seeds, and all of a sudden, I felt the house was empty and I was alone?

Luckily I managed to shake it off quickly, before it got the chance to take me over. I always seem to get that when the weather is bad and I can't get outside, where I always like to be.

I saw an inspiring thing on TV today, where a Gurkha soldier, who lost both his legs while serving in Iraq, was having his garden made over by Alan Titmarsh and his team, It showed his character when he got caught in a road side bomb, and lost both his legs, the first thing he did was apologise to his C.O. and asked if any of his mates got injured!

Anyway, his life story was amazing, and he only feels happy when he is helping other people, I found that really inspiring, and it put my problems into total insignificance, and made me feel humble.

It's taught me not to be so selfish, and reminded me that there us always some one worse off than we are.

@Gadgie I think acceptance and respect goes a long way, I do not think that you are being selfish at all. It is a fact of my life that I do not fully comprehend what I have until I lose it and then the massive realizations become flooding in. Please do not be so hard on yourself.
