I realise that I'm allowed to be happy for myself sometimes

I realized that making dreams come true, my therapy process for instance took so many years of hard work. I am a real person now and not a fake one anymore. I was so naïve when I first started therapy, I had no clue. I thought, three months and I will be on my merry way.

What a joke on me. I was messed up for so many years, I realize it takes as long as it takes. And for me it was a lifelong process, one that is not done yet. But it has really payed off for me.

I realize that I have some very powerful healing people in my life, and I am finding great joy in feeling gratitude for their presence. These people include you, my forum friends. Thank you for being here.

I realize that my forgetfulness and eagerness to please sometimes makes things more complicated. (client getting a pacemaker, another client requested a couple days before a noon time visit same day. Remembered I had the shrink appointment the first time, but not the second. Result was I can't back out of the commitment now and had to cancel my shrink appointment.) Ugh... I only have so much available still and it really can make things complicated.

@The Albatross, I empathize. I would be lost completely without the digital calendar on my phone that I work very hard to keep up on, but still there are lots of moments like this...and I end up letting go of things for me. Hard to swap that around and reschedule or miss things for others instead....
