If You Could Change / Want One Thing On The Forum?

Oh yes, I did not think that way and more over I forgot one incident I saw on other forums. Long ago I used to be a member some development forum. There someone did like you mentioned deletion of whole thread. When someone bumped into that thread after a year, no one could understand what was thread about? Because question was deleted.

It turned into LOL thread.

Yes, It would be chaos or disrespect to community. Sorry and takes my idea back.

We've done that from time to time Nadia and scheduled via events - you can organise one anytime you like [DLMURL]https://www.ptsdforum.org/c/events/monthly[/DLMURL]

and this is how you do it
[DLMURL]https://www.ptsdforum.org/c/threads/creating-events.14946/[/DLMURL]

and there is even an online events sub-forum [DLMURL]https://www.ptsdforum.org/c/forums/online-events.98/[/DLMURL]

I don't know if anyone ever wondered this but:

We've got an "Ask Anthony"... It seems like we ought to have an "Ask Nicolette".

I'm sure it's already been thought of, but Nicolette is already undone with all she's doing. LOL!

1. I would like, as I believe someone else alluded to, for the "like" option button to be a pull down tab with more options than just "like". Perhaps it would be possible to use a 'select subset' of static emoticons to convey I hear you, I relate to you, I encourage you, I empathize with you, I like what you said, I feel badly for you, I found your post quite helpful...).
I think enough weighed in on this as liking it simple and easy, which I concur with... being no change.

I wish we could change the "Follow/Unfollow" to something like "Subscribed/Unsubscribed" to a "member's personal news feed".
It is a social network term based on familiarity between social networking websites. If people want to take it as anything other than what it is, ie. relate a term used on a website to their trauma, that is an individual aspect that no amount of changes is going to make much difference to IMHO. They have to work that out in therapy.

I kind of wish we could somehow group the introductions into one (?) thread or something so that existing members could more easily welcome more new members without having to open each new thread separately
Ok... what about the flipside to that thought? What about all those that want to express themselves uniquely, and then those who are specifically looking to only respond to specific other members based on similarities?

Do they then have to fight through page after page of one enormous thread trying to find others like them? Or do they perform a quick title search and see who is who near instantly, isolated out uniquely.

It is an impossible task even trying to please and cater every possible new member and their type of trauma. Do one for one person, another will take offence or find it over the top, and so it goes on. I have done all these things, welcome PM's, private messages by staff, etc etc etc... these are all old and all been done, and all failed.
