Thanks again everyone.

Off to see another specialist tomorrow and the chance of further surgery is pretty much 100% certain. After my allergic reaction to a common nausea medication and the antidote last week I am now a little fearful of further surgery but fingers and toes crossed.

Well, I'm guessing the you are finally actually resting now, this is good. I'm grateful for, once (in a million times!) again that there are such supportive folks on this site, this being case in point...Amethist, watching out for our lovely Nicolette ;). How did she know you had managed to wrangled out of doctor's order with Anthony right there as the "Enforcer", hmmmm??? HA!

I know it's easy to forget about yourself as you must have always felt like you have had to but you are being taken care of now that you need help by a Husband that clearly has the love and the ability; a Son that got off his Social Network and play station to be by your side (wow!); a load of friends, you have more semi-truck full of friends or 3 ; and you need to take the time for what is up ahead.

Please take care,
peaceful healing,
Rain

Hi Nicolette,

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. I'll pass on what I was told by occupational health today. I had a mini op last week. I was really upset that my manager wanted me to see occupational health. My attitude was, oh it's nothing serious, stop making a fuss, just let me get back to work.

Anyway, she emphasised the need for rest and not trying to do too much too soon because general anathestic and invasive surgery really messes with the body and mind. On top of that you had those nasty reactions to cope with. So do please take time to let your body recover.

Just wanting the best for you. :) xx

Hi, Nicholette,
You are amazing, going through all this. If you feel teary sometimes or even a little depressed, many anesthesia medications have this as a side effect. It an take little as one week to as long as six weeks to completely clear your body. So don't worry about it if it happens. Get extra cuddles from Anthony, always good medicine.

Just had another allergic reaction to a medication I started yesterday. My head is killing me and I can't think. Slurring words if I talk too much. I just want a break from all this crap.

(((Nicolette))), hold on in there.

KP prescribes leaving the computer, go on go. Take one fluffy blanket and wrap youself in its warmth. Ask one nearby husband to come and hold you and stroke the pain in your head away and/or bring chocolate.

Hope the reaction is short lived.

Thanks everyone. I am so sick of this and the stress it causes with work. Just feel like packing it all in and resting for long time. Don't think the bank would like that though as where would the money come from? Soooooo tired.
