I mentioned earlier that I might be moved to foster care, and tomorrow I'll be picked up at 12 and move. On the paper it's a temporary stay for one month, but during that month the case will be processed and I'll be living there permanently. My father consented to it, he's actually aware of the fact that he can't deal with his own issues and children at the same time. He'd told the people working on the case that he's so exhausted that he doesn't have a clue what to do. My father is a PTSD sufferer himself.

Anyway, for a couple months I've been so positive and known that it'd all probably get better this summer, and now I feel like it does. Can't wait :D

I'll put a minor rant here that I'm so tired of the child welfare because I feel like I'm treated as paperwork and not a person (I've been in touch with the child welfare for 11 years...that feeling is making me nuts lol), but it can be whatever, I'm able to put up with that. I'll pick my fights wisely.

Also, I was accepted into the IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme), which in short is a two year international high school program. I'll start in August, so I need to revise a couple years of math back and then proceed to work through a year of math this summer because I've skipped grades (5 years into 3) and need the math for the IB.

I'm really excited :D Woohp. I'll be a total squeaking toy the rest of the weekend. I feel sorry for my friends and new family, my voice can hurt when I go high pitch from excitement lol :P
So happy now

This sounds like great news! I hope all goes well for you. Have you met this family already? And, being accepted into the IBDP program sounds like a HUGE accomplishment. Congratulations on that! (It sounds like child services programs must be similar worldwide. That's kind of disappointing.)

Happy packing!

@scout86 Thank you! Yes, I already know the family. I'm one of the few cases where the child requests a specific family that they already know. They are a wife and husband and a dog. She's a ballet teacher with her own studio, he's working at the university with something I don't really know what is, but I know I'll be having fun conversations with him :) Their dog is a 12 years old golden retriever.
Yeah, I think the child services are pretty much the same all over... I know I'd rather have them adopt me and then say f*ck off to the child services than being treated like paperwork for three more years.

That's great news, that you know them and had a say in this. Now I can worry about you a little less. LOL Life is never totally smooth sailing. Maybe that's ok too, maybe then it would be boring. This all sounds very good though. Now you can focus on what needs focusing on and not worry about your biological family.

Thanks for all your sweet replies  s

I've moved now, got most my stuff moved as well... My dad consented to me being moved so he still has some rights, and I guess I'll be some in touch with him, but now that much. I guess I'll be getting all my stuff moved in not too long, it's just slightly harder to get my piano and speakers and those stuff over because you need a pretty big car and two strong people. Now I plan on chilling the rest of the day and going to the clubhouse when it opens, and then tomorrow we'll be going to IKEA to buy a closet. I'm waiting with packing out till then.
