Impact of events scale

I saw my new psychologist today - seems a nice enough chap, but anyway, he asked me to fill out this form called the Impact of Events Scale - Revised form so that we had a baseline to work from. The maximum score possible is 88, I got 80. 33-37 is enough to give a diagnosis of PTSD. Anyone else done this form at all?

I just took it. My score is 58! Uh oh!

He did say that it wasnt the only thing they were using to assess, but its used in combination with other assessments. Still though, I thought 8 from top marks was pretty high.

@Akhos...Thanks for posting the Impact of Events Scale...I too had never heard of it.
