Intense Emotional Dream....

I had a very intense dream. All I could see was vibrant colors. I felt extreme emotions. That would wake me feeling that emotion intensely! A roller coaster the entire night, waking up crying, waking up with my heart racing with fear, ect. Has anything like this happened to you? What could this possibly mean?

I thought I would add to this. After speaking with my therapist, he believes the colors probably are representing the emotions. I may not be ready to connect the images that bring these emotions.
