Just popping in to say hi. - My name's Lucy - Living in Ireland.
Am going to try and keep my posts as up-beat as possible with more of a "what helps....." feel rather than a " I'm feeling _____" angle.
In that vein - Personally I found Babette Rothschild book - 8 keys to be of great comfort, and quite empowering. She encourages you to take charge of your own healing and to find what works best for you - and most importantly, to take it at a pace that you yourself find managable and that you can digest.
Also, physical excersice has really helped. Swimming, running, and i'm thinking of doing self defence.
I don't feel safe in the city that i'm living, so I think self-defence might help me to feel more in control and generally stronger.
