It is not very hard to read and it feels very validating. He really gets us - humans that have experienced childhood trauma.

It is all about which T works best for you, how you feel with them and where they are taking you, do you feel that something is being accomplished? I am rather thankful, i wanted a white, women and being older therapist and i am seeing an EMDR specialist. Basically regressive therapy through, meditation and trying to bring up what happened to me.

@TheOne I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm having a hard time understanding some of your post. Are you saying that you wanted a 'white woman' for a therapist? If so, I don't understand what difference it makes of the color of a person's skin?

@TheOne I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm having a hard time understanding some of...

Naw, you arent being rude. I feel that i could only talk to another "white women" that would understand, i dont feel comfortable with someone outside of my race to speak to. If that makes me racist, so be it but it has to do with culture more than anything else for me.

I appreciate your willingness to hear me out on this @TheOne . I hope you don't mind me sharing some of my additional thoughts on this topic.

I agree that communication with people from different ethnic backgrounds can be more challenging in some aspects, but really that can be just as true even among the same race.

Different knowledge, experience, values and beliefs etc. are passed down through generations. Culture often varies a great deal from one family to the next even in the same race or with the same ethnic background.

Each culture brings different knowledge and experience that is invaluable to us as a whole.
