@RussH

With all due respect... Anthony himself ignored it... and so should you... we all know she us a feather away from crossing a line and you all have tolerated it.

@Cha123 I completely understand your frustration. I too wanted to serve my country, but because of lung issues I was unable to.
Have you considered other venues of service? I went into EMS and served my community as a medic.
Otherwise there are other areas you can seek out that will both challenge you and give you a sense of fulfillment.

I truly hope you are able to find something that meets you desires.

Would you mind removing my posting then please mods?
Done. The original posts content was removed and warned, as it was attacking. Quoting is an issue, as this is what can often be missed after editing content.
There are rules for some and not for all?
Quite the contrary... warnings have been issued where appropriate, where an attack has been stated. Accumulate enough warnings, a persons account becomes restrictive.

Members can't have everything. Members wanted less harsh approaches here, that has been implemented. Now when it doesn't suit, apply a harsh approach again.

If you have issue with moderating, take it up in the help desk with staff, not in a thread. We're happy to answer member questions in that manner, happy to debate and outline history if needed.

I want to understand why a PTSD board is actually changing posts so that attacking can get swept under the rug.
Just reading this, I will ask you to step carefully now. You're wrong, and you're claiming some conspiracy nonsense as though staff are at fault. There was an attack, we removed it and warned the individual. We don't delete entire content for no good purpose. Attack removed, the rest remained.

I have always expressed a freedom to speak here, providing it is assertively and rationally. We remove offending content, not offending posts, unless the entire content breaches forum policy.

Help desk if you want to discuss this, and cut out your nonsense in relation to making shit up about what staff do, or do not do. Ask.

@The Albatross, those in glass houses should not throw stones. You have your own history here... which is far from perfect, and you're not banned either.

Take such rubbish into the help desk or PC others. Those who continue to hijack the thread, I will thread ban each one.

We should try not to derail the thread but I hate the fact that @Solara does not tell @FridayJones she is sorry and that we are being called the B-word in her status update. But I am going to start another thread on name calling on the help desk now, because I don't want to derail this one.

I don't know anything about the military but I do know that living with PTSD is very difficult. When you consider the stress cup, we are always part full. Thus we do not need a job that adds to that stress.

@Cha123 I appreciate that you have said you would like a job that is physical and challenging. Have you seen a careers officer to receive advice on what that would look like in practice. I understand that you had your heart set on the army, but many people are disappointed. Telling a child they are colour blind suddenly removes their chance of becoming a helicopter pilot. Diagnosing somebody with Type 1 diabetes means they can only have a desk job in the Police. There are very many restrictions and to be honest for very good reasons.

I hope you can seriously consider other options, and find a job that you love. Don't give up on a dream, but change the direction it is going.

It was a beautiful, sunny day today. There was sand from the Sahara in the atmosphere and it gave the light a stunning golden hue. The spring lambs were leaping everywhere and the buds have started to come into leaf. Green is an amazing color at this time of year. The birds sang so beautifully at the arrival of evening. It is good to be alive.

Thank you sincerely for all the informative and beautifully worded and emphasized advice. I had a friend, now passed on, called Davy. He spent his life in the old Shipyards, climbing inside the great ship's boilers and scraping away all the clinker off the interior. He used to suffer so much with a curved spine from all the bending over in confined spaces. He never complained. He once told me this:

" The man with the experience has nothing to fear from the man with the argument ".

For example: I don't think it was nice when she told @Becksknox that she needed CBT or when she told me that my post was "lacking common sense and respect". @Solara: Maybe you don't mean it that way but some people are offended by that and this rude talk may keep newbies from joining.

So maybe this is something you might wish to think about. I am not trying to be mean. I want to help you and tell you how some people (such as me) feel about your posts. So you might consider this next time.

Thank you @Lemontree. It was that comment that broke me down and made me not want to be here. Thank you for reasuring me.
