I got a job at the Uni here, teaching information systems and calculus to first years. I applied for the position on a whim, since we are in Canada this year anyhow. I still can't believe it, I am enjoying it immensely. I was reading for my PhD when I became PTSD ill. I had to quit, which I reckon was the biggest disappointment of my life. University was the only place I ever felt I belonged. It feels fantastic to be back... now I might actually get my PhD afterall.

Tardis, that's terrific news! I'm glad to hear it. School can be difficult, especially for us with PTSD, but if you love it, then it can also be a source of comfort and joy (when your PTSD is under control, of course!).

tardis! As a fellow student (although I am still an undergrad...PTSD took hold most in my 2nd year, am now in my final year, second time round)... Congratulations!!!

I relate to what you say, and about belonging too... good for you!!
