something that realy gets my goat.

after 10 years for queen and country, when you leave you dont get any help, assistance, or niceness from the british army what so ever.

I managed to get a "Veterans ID" last year, gets me in the NAAFI (PX for you colonials:laugh:)and onto the camps easier.

But we cant make it easy for Vets, to buy stuff. I have to apply for a taxation form, which when I buy more than 5 items, (Lets say, 2 mars,2 snickers, 1 twix and a coke) they have to write it down on this form. I then have to go to the German Zoll (Customs) by the 5 day of the next month and if and pay 17,5% tax??? on what ive brought that month.

I mean 10 years of blood, sweat, and nerves and they wont even let you buy a f*ckin mars in peace. I mean the guys still get Fuel coupons for christ sake" what is so hard to give the Vets the recognition they deserve.

I didn't mind the place so much, it was the effing Deuxiemes who always seemed to be there at the same time.
By the way I think there's only five trees now, 13/18 managed to find one with a Chieftan.
I used to be sh#t scared they'd 'find' my tent...........

1 time we had a Warrior from 1 of our FRGs park up on the wrong side of the wooden pegs just out side the camp. the side that was "contaminated" they had to burn all there stuff and take tests, and all sorts of shit, were were holed up 2 meters away. god those wooden pegs are good. better than 80cm of earth and S10 any day lmao

I actualy got a rollocking for taking a moose out with a Gimpy LMAO, we ate good that night though. Stupid bloody animal, it wasnt even as if we had just started firing. we`d been at it about half an hour LMAO. and he just decided to run out from depression directly across my line of fire. The lads thought it was hillarious. our Lt. didn`t. typical rodney.

And as for the Moskitos, F*cking hell, worse than an Warthog on a straffing run.

Our national bird, the moskitos is. Such a fine, noble beast. I've never seen a moose in Suffield, you sure you weren't in Gagetown at the time? There are swamp donkeys all over the place there. Or maybe it was a mully or an elk you terminated.

Elk, moose, deer, looks all the bloody same to me when looking down the sights of a Gimmpy. It definatly had horns. Antlers. either way it didnt stay standin for long
