The wrapping is mostly done, H and I sat with a glass of wine each and got it done together.

I now only have his presents to wrap.

I had a nice surprise as I thought may camera was my present, albeit early, but no, H has another present for me already under the tree:inlove:. I truely didn't expect it.

I think the family is confused by my reaction this year as I am not bothered about the gifts and food as I have been in previous years. All I want is my family to be safe and with me and happy and healthy.

All my presents are now wrapped.

Just biscuits to make for the grandchildren and decorate the chritmas shaped buns I made yesterday.

I made a complete hash of the mince pies by using frozen pastry instead of making my now. So I will go out and but some today, instead of stressing about something that is not that important.

I made a few novice mistakes yesterday, hell I am a chef by trade so I should have know better.

I took the kids to have their photo taken with Santa today. My youngest in her red Christmas dress and I managed to persuade my eldest to put on her sequin Christmas dress as well, though she got changed into it when we arrived at the Grotoo and then changed back again as soon as the photo was taken. My son wore a Christmas T-shirt.

Trying to get a picture of all 3 of them where they are all looking at the camera, smiling nicely and not with a fake forced smile and eyes not shut, virtually impossible. I had to compromise as I think the girl took about 8 pictures and none of them were perfect.

I am wondering what is going to happen next year. All my kids are tall, you can barely see Santa's face in the photo because my youngest is sat on his lap blocking him (the other 2 were on either side.). Santa needs a bigger lap and a bigger chair.

Then I took some more photos at home by the Christmas tree. Same problem, I think I took about 20 pictures, but I did get a couple that look pretty good.

I had the best experience with a shop assistant. I went to the shop yesterday looking for a particular book for my eldest daughter and it had sold out. The lovely shop assistant, a young girl in her teens actually phoned up the other store and got her boyfriend, who lived near by, to collect the book and bring it to the local store today. I ended up spending a lot of money in that store. I dare not look at my bank account now, I have seriously over done it but I don't care. All the shopping is now completed.

Now I still have to make mince pies for friends, one I am having morning tea with tomorrow at her place, then the other one is coming round with her kids in the afternoon to my place. We will exchange presents then. I need to ice the Christmas cake, plant the herb pots that are gifts for my 2 friends and make the toy kitchen for my youngest. I have just about wrapped everything else.

My son keeps asking me what time I will be getting up on Christmas morning. At this rate I will not have gone to bed all night!

Well, today is the first and most stressful family get together. At least 30 of us. Old family messages and the knowledge that I am the fattest person there in a family where being skinny(bone thin) is a virtue, is stressing me out to the max. Trying not to think about it as I am about to get ready to go. Wish me well!

Same problem, I think I took about 20 pictures, but I did get a couple that look pretty good.

That's where digital photo editing comes in. We had a professional family picture taken with about 26 people. Some infants and some teens. It was difficult to get a picture where everyone was happy. We finally found one where the majority was happy, but my sister's sullen teen was not. In one of the other pictures he looked fairly happy(must have been an accident), so they chopped his head out of that one and put it on the main picture. Crisis averted.

My son is 16 and he is already complaining because his grandpa won't be here until 8:30 Christmas morning(they have to wait to open their presents). This is a son who sleeps pass noon on the weekend! lol

One year my mom fell asleep. I woke up before my sister and had to wake my mom up to get the presents out! I didn't believe in Santa, but my sister sure did. Mom got them out just in time!

The house has been cleaned within an inch of its life. New candles are waiting to be lit and the tree lights are twinkling.

I'll go wrap Hs presents in a moment, whilst he is having a nap. I have a little baking to do and a gammon to boil, apart from that KP is ready to chill back and enjoy the season.

Oh and I downloaded Michael Buble - Christmas album, all together 'it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....'

We are all ready for christmas. We are having a cozy day all things considering. At least husband is being sweet to me. Time is going by really fast. I will be really sad when it is all over. I think the real excitement is the anticipation. I have so enjoyed this holdiay season. I will be so sad to see it all over. Just like a little kid.
