Let The Christmas Madness Begin

Made it through my large family gathering. Small, small, one on Christmas day to go. No problem I can stay all day in my jammies for that one!

So, that fed ex package that I was waiting for... The one that they swore was delivered to MY porch Wednesday, which we didn't think they did since everyone was home and the dogs didn't bark... The one that I had to wait on hold multiple times in search of... Well it showed up on my porch when I came home this evening, a Sunday mind you. Too big for me to ever have missed it or for it to blow away. Yep, pretty sure that wasn't MY porch they delivered to on Wednesday night. Just saying. :confused:

Oh well, glad I have it in time for Christmas. I was just about to write it off. Ahh, Christmas madness, what would I do without it? :eek:

Friends over to my place to exchange Christmas gifts this afternoon. Now I am stuffed with Christmas cake and mince pies and it is only Christmas eve!

Christmas cake tastes real good. It is really not that difficult to make.

My son told me today that my tummy was not looking so big like it used to, so the pilates must be working. Now I have 5 weeks break of pilates and loads of Christmas cake and mince pies and Christmas pudding with homemade custard to eat. Think my tummy will be back to looking 9 months pregnant again pretty soon.

I did buy the pilates DVD from my physio to do every day at home in the holidays plus the foam roller torture implement to accompany it. Both remain sealed in their packages and I suspect they will remain there.

This last summer I found a VHS tape, still sealed, that I bought to workout while I was pregnant. Umm, my boys are now 14 and 16. Oops. So don't feel too bad.

Have to say, though, when I was working out a few days, give or take, a week my thighs didn't rub. Probably about my 4th week without exercise, they started rubbing again. :( Now I have to start all over.

You are so not alone.

My partner opened his Christmas present this morning......tried out the new stubble shaver, and the f*cking thing don't do sh!t.

At least my bro likes his, his car got broken into 3 days ago, and they stole his backpack that he keeps his small stuff in for when he stays at my place.......so I bought him a new backpack!

That is a nice feeling. I was just thinking about how much the critters like the gifts they got from Santa and how well Santa has chosen! Now we'll wait and see what the kids think tomorrow! ;)

Oh, btw everyone, the siblings did like their tree skirts. Both of my sisters especially because I think they realized the work that went into them, more then my brother did. I'm just happy that they all seemed pleased.

I decided I should buy a gift for myself. Then I had this genius idea! I bought myself something online, did in-store pick up. I only had to walk about 30 feet into the store, sign and I got my gift! :D Nothing like a little retail therapy and still managing to avoid the Christmas Eve shopping madness.

I did all my shopping on line with free delivery or store pickup. It was so nice. After several months of isolating myself, I don't think that shopping at the stores would have been a good idea. I felt so relieved. Hope you got a great gift for yourself.
