Oh, this is so me :hungover::hilarious:

I\'m dreaming of a white Christmas.webp

We are going out tommorow to buy more christmas shopping and two birthday presents for the grandkids this month. I got ahold of my daughter and I will pick up the girls on Saturday at ten o clock and they will come over and decorate our tree. I will serve them hot chocolate and cookies. My daughter was thrilled at haing some me time. And she was so grateful. She said the girls would love me for it. I will have them decorate the house too. I will keep them all day. We have not had them over in such a long time. I am so happy and thrilled by this.

I've just had one of our volunteer drivers in the office. He is also a Santa Claus for the Lions Club.

They are working in a garden centre as Santa in a fancy grotto. Santa has gone hi-tech. How cool is this?

Elves, get information from parents, name, age, pets, little naughty story, something good, something at school etc. Both elf and Santa are miked and Santa has an ear piece. Child approaches Santa and Santa calls them by name and talks to them about stuff only the 'real' Santa knows.

I love it, as a child that would convince me.

Daughter and I were watching the 'Gadget Show' on TV earlier. They were looking at stocking fillers. Daughter was disgusted, their idea os stocking fillers is completely different to ours.

Theirs - average gift costin at least £25.

Ours - chocolate Santa, choc coins, and small presents costing about £5 at the most (Christmas tissues, nail files, socks and such like).

She said the others were more like main presents.

I guess over the years they know it isn't the amount spent but the love and thought that goes into gifts. I buy their stocking fillers throught the year and put them away.

Well so far we have brought the christmas stuff in. Then we went to McDonalds to get the girls some lunch. OMG my older granddaughter can make beautiful dreamcatchers. She went online to learn how to make them and they are gorgous. She is going to make one for me. I cannot wait. After lunch we will decorate the tree and spread out the decorations around the house.

It is so hot we have the door open and the fan on. We are having wondeful conversations. What a great day.

The boys are picking out a tree today. We can't put it up because I'd have to move the couch and it would cover up the wine spill of yesterday. I'm treating it with an oxy paste and I have to wait until tomorrow to wash it out. Will have to wait on the tree until tomorrow after I get that done. :(

I served the girls hot chocolate and choclate chip cookies. They loved it. While the little one was decorating the tree, the older one was playing songs on her banjo for us. She also made a dreamcatcher for out neighbors and we walked to their house and gave it to them and visited for awhile. Then the girls cleaned out the inside of my car and I paid them for their work. I was sad to take them home. But I did. And then I got tacos for us for dinner. It was a wonderful day. I was glad that the girls did not get bored here. They wanted to spend the night, but I am going to go to church with my friends. I will have them over during their winter break.
