It's 17c with wind chill here - the wind whipped me around and made my run far more interactive than I was planning lol. Managed my 15k though and there were times when despite the wind and cold the sun came out and I felt like I was in an entirely different world.
At one point when the sun burst through the clouds I stopped running just to lift and thaw my frozen eyelashes in the sun and appreciate the world under my feet. Then I started dancing - 'dancing like no-one was watching'.
But of course in a big city someone was watching...two runners rounded the curve as I was approaching and when they saw me they burst into spontaneous laughter and 'thumbs upped'. We wished each other Happy New Year and continued on our way. It was nice.
I hope 2015 brings you all those moments, maybe seconds even, of simple, pure, uncomplicated experiences of pure, safe presence in your worlds.
Happy New Year Road Warriors!
