@Panda Bear, I am not really up on the latest yoga exercise so someone else will probably chime in.

I would be interested myself in some recommend tried and true yoga as well - when my muscles are sore and tight I do a real beginner sun salutation that I grab from you tube or I use my foam roller.

Sorry I am not much help but I am sure someone will be able to recommend something specific.

Sorry to be tardy with updates. Wednesday was hockey drills - 2 hours of beginner drills and skate. I was nursing a bit of a tweaked knee caused by the way I stop - so I am working on changing that.

Thursday was a 2 hour run - not so much for distance but to relax, breathe and ease my muscles a bit.

Friday was a rest day.

Saturday turned out to be a rest day too - (I started a thread describing Hank my new rescue buddy who found me this past Saturday!!)

Sunday a 7k quick run on the treadmill while mu buddy slept peacefully and soundly on the floor. Put on Mary Tyler Moore show reruns and pondered that life is really good.

Monday I did an early morning treadmill run (6k) and will finish the day with another quick run tonight.
Also dog walking - a nice really slow pace to begin to develop/rehab Hank's muscles.

@Panda Bear and @City Slicker : I recommend Yoga Nidra. I've done it since two months and it really helped me a lot. It takes some time but I feel a difference now. My muscles are more relaxed and I perceive it more when my body becomes tense - and can regulate it. ;) @Ms Spock : Thanks to you! I've read about you doing Yoga Nidra and got curious...so I tried it and it's just perfect.

Today:
30 min weight training (gets better again...)
30 min Yoga Nidra (stay calm in your office while the floor is lively.... )
