@anthony and @City Slicker I'm sure you guys are all about some stretching etc., but if you haven't tried it yet, try rolling your calves on a foam roller or some tennis balls for a self performed deep tissue massage to break up any calcium deposits etc. It could really loosen you up. :)

City, know exactly what you mean about the stairs and moving through lactic acid. I ran up this in forty minutes, and for a minute there I was reeeally feeling the burn:

Yes, a great 5 minute power walk on the beach:) already this morning. After being bed ridden for nearly 5 years a walk in the sunshine is a pleasant way to begin the day. I am also using the round foam roller to release tension in my back. I lay on it. with roller between shoulder blades, it is about 36 inches in length, a very dense foam and roll back and forth slowly with knees bent and arms at shoulder height (learned by a professional physical therapist). I recently lost over 100 pounds and contribute it to better attention to types of calories consumed, balance in my life and aqua yoga, which I progressed from water to now in my home for about 15 minutes each day. I also use balancing ball with resistance bands. There is use of a tennis ball I perch between me and the wall, then slowly bend my knees and move toward the floor. It helps with the shoulder tension. I have a neck implement so this is important to keep the tension clear. Other limitations, for now, so there is no hard core aerobics or running. Taking it easy and slowly building courage by reading all the great tips from others on this site, Thanks for your posts.

I did a senior's workout today at the Senior Center here in town, and the fellow who leads it is 92 years old, can you believe? He uses weights too, whereas the rest of us don't (and we are all younger)! Our teacher/ leader was in the military for some years, then taught school for the rest of his working years. Now he works at our center and teaches us to keep our bodies in shape. Ours is a full body workout, but very mild. No lactic acid buildup or anything like that! Just gentle movements, in series of 12, so that we keep our blood moving and our breathing slightly excelled.

I have done just a little bit of late like 2993 steps.

My rotational vertigo kicked my butt for three days+. So, I decided to not be ashamed and drop out of the thread like a wimp. I will continue and call forth the honey badger spirit. It is what it is. :spitdummy:

I am so inspired, keep up the good work everyone!! One step at a time.
