Someone mentioned the Alexander Technique to me a year or so ago. I totally forgot about it until now. Definitely not something that comes up often, or ever. Thanks for the reminder to check it out, @Disco Dancing Queen .

This morning I'm doing the usual...bed stretches, breathing techniques, bounce time on the mini-tramp, core time with the hula hoops, and mind space time with a nice walk. Move that lymph!!! It's our bodies own self-made version of Liquid Plumber, in my mind. lol

I scored a tai-chi dvd at a thrift shop and plan to take it with me while I'm out of town this week to see if I can manage to follow along and develop a practice. I hear it's really good to help with overall balance and such. I can use all of that I can get with me and my non-graceful self.

Tues - 1st day back
Wed - Paying for it
Thurs - In spades
Fri - 12 flights of stairs* more times than I can count. (Broken elevator). Several miles of city walking.
Sat - A few flights of stairs (purely out of spite for how hard they were, yesterday, elevator fixed), and a couple miles of walking.
Sun - Holy f*ck. The stairs. More godamned stairs. (The lift is broken. Again.) a few miles of city gimping.

* I would rather be shot at than climb stairs. Also known as the sole reason I never went out for firefighting. ;)

Walking the dog.
2 hours of tractor mowing - I had to do 180 to get under some of the trees, and it was pretty exciting to bounce up and down whilst going around the corners, and across the crevices. Tiny little tractor, but a most physical experience!

I planned to do a 1 1/2 mile swim, but a kid in the next lane flubbed a turn and kicked me in the jaw. I did a cool down, but my brain was a little too rattled to finish what I had left. I was too concerned with reassuring him that I was fine that I forgot to write down my distance. I got my dad and a swim coach when I was first starting out, so I know that accidents happen.
