This is a supporter thread in the supporter section. If you are offended, it is better to move on. If reading supporter threads upsets you, don't read them.

It is not our responsibility to make sure we aren't hurting sufferer feelings. We get enough of that at home.

We can vent all we like as long as we follow forum policy. We're not talking about you. Don't make it about you.

Before condescending to us and victim blaming, have you ever considered that this is where people come to talk out their relationship issues... like realizing they're being abused? Or deciding to leave an abusive partner?

Dodera who ever you are, that was hands down the best post in this thread. Yup, both supporters and sufferers are responsible for our own behavior.

I am very much learning to change how I react when my nonptsd s/o lashes out. I can't control how he is going to react but I can choose to react in a manner that I will feel good about and not regret later.
