I'm over half way and I'm really enjoying it. It is a good story.

@ ClairBear, yes it is the type of book formula I like. I often begin to get cross at the characters. I want to give them a good shaking whilst telling them to go to bed and get it over with. Life is too short ;)

I'm looking forward to reading more.

Other than some short stories, I haven't read a Sandra Brown novel. I could see predicability though, as many authors fall into that trap IMHO. I like Clive Cussler, Lee Child and James Patterson, as all three can write completely different novels, one to the next, without any likeness to a prior novel. Lee Child only has his Jack Reacher series, and that's saying something for a one character series author.

I got about 40% through this book this morning... will resume reading it hopefully tomorrow. A good story that I am enjoying. Easy to read, nothing brain straining or complex. I am taking a guess though that the killer is either herself, or her step-brother, due to her repressed memories and that they are the two who aren't really accounted for at the time of murder. Now I will wait and see whether either is right or not.

I started reading this today.

Just got to the part where the house has been broken into and the book being scattered like confetti.

I've actually dealt with repressed memories myself, so I found that theme interesting. It mentioned something to the effect of, once the memory had surfaced, it was as if it had always been there. Yep. I felt that way too.

Anthony,
I am taking a guess though that the killer is either herself, or her step-brother, due to her repressed memories and that they are the two who aren't really accounted for at the time of murder.
I thought that too. :)

I finished this yesterday. I'd thought about the killer in passing but it was still a surprise.

I enjoyed this book a lot and will read more of her.

Sorry... I forgot to comment on this, as I also finished the book a couple of days ago. I figured I wouldn't comment because I would have a hard time not saying who the killer was. I must admit, it was a very interesting plot... which is what I find good in a suspense type book.
