Welcome Grunt! I'm a Army grunt. Worked with a lot of Marines in Iraq, great bunch of guys. Crazier than we were.

I think hating civilians is easy. They don't understand, but think they got it all put together.

As for night terrors, I wish I had the answers, if you do please share. :)
Right now I deal with them by locking doors, doing nightly patrols, and a lot of falling asleep to Star Trek. Dream, warp factor 5 engage!
