Massive Anxiety After Posting On Forum.

Nicci, I think you should keep on writing. After all this group is here for you. I don't think anyone can track you if you do not mention names etc. This is a safe place with excellent boundries. I'm sad that you are scared of being tracked down. I understand how you would feel this way. Your anoniminity is sheltered here.

There are two separate aspects.

One is the forum can be coded so that search engines do not find the text in posts.
The other is - whether they can or not - any section can be set such that one has to login in to read a post.
As Anthony says, there are areas on here like the latter.
In all sections one has to login in to put up a post.
If none of the posts could be found in a search engine it might inhibit people who would benefit by being here from finding us in the first place.

And allowing people to read through before joining may give them the courage they need to register.

(Some sites allow anonymous people [not logged in] to post which makes no sense to me at all)

I remember when it finally sunk into my limited ''internet-tech-computer'' challenged brain that this info was out there, so to speak. Anxiety set in and I went into a panic mode like you would not believe. I think most of us here have done that at one time or another.

People are often asking Anthony to delete them and their posts/threads/info.

Plus when I first joined, I would panic and sweat at just the thought of writing something. In fact, I still get anxiety when posting, LIKE NOW ! ! Even after all this time as a member. This is normal.

someone said soemthing about babysteps, which I am a firm believer in. I haven't been here that long, but it has excellent rules and guidelines and feels pretty safe to me. Keep on coming back.
