Medication advice recommendation for cPTSD

Trial & error. Zip, nada, zilch is tried and true… for PTSD.
Ain't that true.......
I have found for me? Less is better.....and building a toolbox of techniques to use when PTSD things are sideways - has been better than meds were.
Part of that? Is all other meds induce crazy anxiety that something will go sideways with my Addison's Disease (primary adrenal insufficiency) and that one will kill me for sure if it gets out of control.

I have read that many people find medications that work for them until they don’t. With that in mind my strategy is to really work on the causation while the medication is working so if it stops working in the future progress has been made on the underlying cause.

This is true they stop working and you will get to a point where you have to do some different. Or I do. This is where the problems start IMO. It’s not always easy to make changes like this and tell the doctor I want to go off this and onto something else. I find discussing it difficult because I don’t want to rock the boat much. If it’s working don’t go looking for trouble.

But it’s true and just taking a break and going to no meds or even considering it can be daunting.

But even my wife says to me with all the risk I’m Better on meds than off and that’s a lot coming from her . She’d know lol.
