Following what jojo said, any kind of grounding that seems right for you should work to bring your energy back down. The woman I get reiki from, who also counsels and teaches meditation, will have me visualize roots reaching in to the ground from my legs or tailbone. For the chakra piece, you could spend some time visualizing a lotus opening slowly at your root chakra.
Another she taught me is a Tibetan technique for grounding. On the inhale you think of using a hook or staff to gather your thoughts/mind energy and on the exhale bring that down to just below your belly button. Leave a bit of air on the exhale and tighten at your belly for 3-5 seconds... Repeat. (Not for like 20-30 minutes because it's an irregular/controlled breath pattern and you might get light-headed but 5-10 can be very stabilizing). This one is super soothing for my anxiety.
The other one which my judo/yoga/meditation teacher does it moving your energy back to your center. You can imagine your breath moving from your belly button to your chest on the inhale, and then down your spine and back to your belly button on the exhale.
