This morning featured something in this house which is genrally frowned upon- my 14 year old son saying 'OHNOOOOO'. At 5:45. This generally means somehing unsolvable requires solving between 5:45 and 6:15 when the bus arrives, hence frowned upon. THIS time? He'd forgotten to watch the meteor shower his science teacher told the class about. WELL. We packed UP, headed the 1/4 mile down in the dark to the bus stop early.

GOSHHHH gosh gosh. We climbed on out on the Taurus's frigid hood, laid there resisting the knee-jerk impulse to applaud as the sky rained bits of white light and magic, SUCH a let-down when dawn crept across the sky and the bus huffed into view. Rats. Coming back to the house, nothing felt the same- makes me smile today thinking thses same bits of white light are still rocketing over our heads while we rocket through our day. It's apparently going to be at it tonight, so thought I'd give anyone the head's up who might want to go climb onto a car roof or somewhere toastier to SEE this. No idea who can, or where it's visible- I'm in Pennsylvania, USA.

Awesome awesome awesome.

Hahahahaha! Thank you Inordinate!! This forum is better than spellcheck! Makes me laugh- I'd LOVEEE to blame the whole spelling thing on the dyslexia, think that'd be a load of cr*p, really. Decided finally I'm just an awful speller!!

I actually saw it when I was very young! Was amazing how the color bounced in the sky? I remember having a hard time comprehending that is was from Alaska!
