Multilingual Again

Most will not know that this website used to be multilingual. We accepted most main languages which had automatic translation, which truly catered to the entire world. When we moved away from vBulletin about 15 years ago, we lost that multilingual service. Don't get me wrong, it had a lot of issues, 15 years ago technology, BUT NOW, AI has turned all those issues upside down, making such things a lot easier.

As we now have a much better AI integration here, the system can now translate any non-English post/comment into English and vice versa. AI translation is not perfect, but its getting close to it nowadays, as people globally use AI in all languages, and it learns, remembers and reuses accurate writing in all languages (those little differences all languages have, even English).

Click the translate button on any comment to translate. You can post in most languages as anyone can translate to English now. Only Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Russian are supported being translated to. Example. I posted in Farsi and could translate it to English. The issue would be if I only spoke Farsi, I could not translate the comments here from our system to Farsi, I would have to copy and paste to an external AI.

Translate bot has replied to Ms spock twice in her diary despite her speaking entirely in English? I wondered if it is replying to others, and quickly looked at another diary. And it is replying there too. And in my diary.

Yer, it shouldn't be doing that. There does seem to be an issue with existing posts... I can see the error its generating, and that will be looked into. Basically it can't respond to mentions or be called, which was an issue, and the error seems to be around that, even though fixed. Two areas of issue in the code, not just one. Then there are the AI controls trying to be issued.

I have it disabled to try and fix it. Then go again. Testing phase is away.

Ok, round two. Some of this is programming the bot, which can be... well... interesting to take directions.

I posted something in French in my diary.

The bot hasn't translated it, but I can press the translate button and then a window pops up showing me the English version.

Yer, I think that was my doing. I changed a word, and I should have left it alone, changed back now.

I'm not sure how good, bad or otherwise this will be yet, but its a starting point.

Just tested it in French in my diary agsin and it worked this time.

It's quoted me in rose White's diary, and me in mine.

Does that mean it is reading my entire diary? Does that mean my information is being stored somewhere?
