Ok so if you see a person being killed in the street or someone burning down a house your just going to sit there and do nothing. You could at least call the police, if they want to retaliate fine... Just be ready for it. It is your responsibility as citizen of your country to report crimes. We don't need more Victims, but because people only care about themselves more victims after more and more and more.... The cycle continues...

Marine - my neighbours aren't being KILLED so way to be hyperbolic and totally melodramatic. And "You could at least call the police, if they want to retaliate fine... Just be ready for it." is one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard... it should be moved to the "things never to say to someone with PTSD" thread.

Not only am I a young female living alone (with constant panic attacks and already out of control hypervigilance), I don't have any family here to 'protect' me and as I've already said before, calling the police on these people would in NO WAY be "anonymous" even if I didn't leave my name... and yet I should "just be ready"????

I spent 15 years being beaten up or watching people I love get beaten to within an inch of their lives. I'm not about to put myself in that situation again so keep your "truth hurts" crap to yourself.

Have someone else call anonymously and it will take the burden off of you but if there are people being abused in your neighbors house...I hope there are no childen there.

PTSD comes in all sorts of packages. Mine is from Combat and EMS work. Yours seems to be from being abused, in which I am sorry for some of my comments but sometimes you have to stand up for whats right. Either take care of the problem or Move. Don't put yourself through torture. I don't know what else to say. I'm not a victim of abuse or rape. I'll stick with the Combat/EMS Vets and leave you alone.

Ursa is 100% spot on.

Also...the Realtor had to of known as did the previous owner...and they failed to inform you. That is against the law. I would check with the library for the local paper's microfiche files of police reports and calls....also you can easily look up the neighbors names at the court house or online sometimes now and all their convictions or etc....better yet...get a friend to do that crap for you.....way to stressful.
