Thanks guys for the support and encouragement. It is just a weird situation. I am trying not to dwell on it. But for the first time since we seperated, I feel free of the guilt of abandoning them. I see it as a wise choice that was very hard to make.

I really appreciate all of your feed back. It really helps me to put it into proper perspective.

Yeah we don't choose our families, I have an uncle who is a registered paedophile, having been convicted of sexually assaulting his then partners child. He also narrowly escaped a conviction for murder earlier in life. The fact we share bloodlines and genes with some people doesn't mean we should answer for their actions. Some people, like some animals, just go wrong and they need to be removed from society so they can't harm others.

I so agree with you. We told my daughter, she does not watch the news and she was so stunned and shocked. It just hits you weird in the stomach. I am doing much better. As long as he does not get let out of prison society is safe from him. Thank you for your kind and honest words. I am sad about your own painful experiences. I agree with you.
