I have been wanting to go back to work but I am terrified to. I have been out of work for 9 years. I am torn on doing this. I have a few more challenges then I did 9 years ago. I not only have PTSD, anxiety and depression, about 6 months ago I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left which on my bad day I am limited with my mobility. If I do bite the bullet so to speak I need to find a job that will let me bring my service dog as I am calmer with her around. Any suggestions?

Find some sort of properly structured return to work plan. It may make more sense to go back gradually, rather than jumping straight back to full time.

It will depend which sector you worked in / want to work in. If you currently get any disability benefits / support then there should be people available (OT, like JustMe suggested etc) to help you make plans, look at feasible work areas and see what you think you can do initially.

To be blunt, it may also depend which country you're in as some tend to be more helpful than others.

A service dog shouldn't be a problem, it would be pretty churlish for an employer to object.

What sort of jobs were you thinking of?
