Nerd, Geek or Dork?

Thanks Portabella. Don't say you're boring though. I'm sure you're not boring. Your posts are interesting. You're only boring if you want to be... try something new maybe. Like rock climbing lol. I LOVE rock climbing, did a bit of real mountain climbing too in my teens, I was a member of the local Alpine club. But I'm not allowed to do it right now because of my physical health. So, why don't you take up climbing and I can live vicariously through you for a while? ;)

Seriously though I really don't think you're boring.

That would be great, I am too fat at the time. I loved climbing, now with my Myasthenia I have such weak limbs, I cannot do it. But, I am going to go white water rafting again before I get too old, that is such a rush.

I can still climb at a place called Twin Buttes, it is an easy climb and lets me know I am still alive. But....I get so out of breath walking out after a long day of climbing, I thought I was going to pass out last time I went. I need to bring more water. Look up Twin Buttes, or Pawnee Buttes they are one in the same. I live not very far from them, I can be to them in less than an hour. They are beautiful.

I am boring, but I earned it. I don't consider it a bad thing. I lived my life and now I am content to be boring. I drive the speed limit, My past time is looking at Cows and occassional wildlife that I happen across while looking at cows. I am very content to slow down, as I lived in the fast lane far too long. (No ones fault but my own) But-No Regrets....can't take it back anyhow.

Pure Nerd!

86 % Nerd, 21% Geek, 34% Dork
For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Congratulations!

Well, there it is for all to see! Me in all my Nerdiness! Love, map9

Cool another nerd! There seem to be a LOT of nerds on here, as compared to geeks and dorks. Thanks for taking the test map9! :)

A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored less than half in all three, earning you the title of: Joe Normal.

This is not to say that you don't have some Nerd, Geek or Dork inside of you--we all do, and you can see the percentages you have right above. This is just to say that none of those qualities stand out so much as to define you. Sure, you enjoy an episode of Star Trek now and again, and yeah, you kinda enjoyed a few classes back in the day. And, once in a while, you stumble while walking down the street even though there was nothing there to cause you to trip. But, for the most part, you look and act fairly typically, and aren't much of an outcast.

I'd say there's a fair chance someone asked you to take this test. In any event, fairly normal.

Seems I am normal as well, very close in score to my husband. My, we are boring people!

Not that anyone but myself cares ahaha, but the current statistics for everyone who's taken the test are:

Nerd 60.6%
Geek 24.7%
Dork 49.1%

Out of 13 people:

Nerd Only: 4
Nerd & Dork: 4
Normal: 3
Dork Only: 2
Nerd, Geek & Dork: 1

Oh, well, here goes.....

Evie,

Looks like I fit in... :crazy-blu

65 % Nerd, 39% Geek, 39% Dork

That was kinda fun dear!! Have a fine weekend.

Wayne

Evie, I've surprised myself in my willingness to take this test. A Pure Nerd, it seems I am, at the time being, anyhow. I've changed so much throughout my life. I'd like to strive to become even more of a Nerd and a Geek and less of a Dork, but I suppose that might contradict one another.

Anyhow, LOL and thanks for sharing something fun.

Hope
