How do you know if something is just the new normal or a symptom of PTSD?

The symptoms of PTSD are the new normal. That's the hard part. They're always going to be there

Omu here. Here is my definition:

"New normal": Things your sufferer/you cannot change and therefore both partners accept and try to embrace it
"PTSD": Things that can be cured or get better

Yes, I understand and that is the reason why I do embrace many things... but there are some things that do get better and my question is: How can I tell the one kind of things from the other?

Sometimes things don't get better though. Sometimes it's as good as it gets.

For me this is what I expect:

Nightmares come and go. Insomnia comes and goes. Emotions come and go. Anxiety comes and goes. Panic Attacks come and go. Symptoms, whatever they are for each of us, come and go.

The new normal? Is that ^^^ happens.

The PTSD symptoms can be minimized as worked on. Counseling is key. Support key. A willing sufferer to seek out and receive these is an altogether another animal.
I would study PTSD symptoms and then study the sufferer. If they are not in therapy the new normal is PTSD cycling through symptoms......PTSD can be worked on and the more the sufferer begins to seek help and regain control of thoughts the better at managing life they become.
