Oh, I think it depends on where one is with healing, exposure, and things? Something which once would be a genuine trigger, throwing someone into a complete anxiety attack or other manifestation will eventually be *just* possibly a stressor, and hopefully not even that in the end. Of course if the PTSD event is what is playing in your head, you're just plain on some level of higher than normal alert, you know? Depending on how severely you're affected by what, things can go down the tubes quickly, I know. Like you said, you'll get there, but I know it's just not always as easy as writing it here.
Funny, I was just thinking today about how much I used to hate mornings because it took forever to get myself 'in order' for the day. It's still somewhat disorienting after all these years and I can wake up paniced and fearful but it's no long sort of terrifying just being awake in one more day, if you know what I mean.
I actually think you write as if you're processing things terribly well. I do not, and for instance on days like today when there's other stress just do not manage to focus well-much less spell! Which means I'll stop here. :)
Hugs to you too! :)
