That has to help. Wish people spoke about it when I was in. But would I have listened, all we wanted to do then was to deploy on ops, like craved it (you know what I mean). But at 18-24 you do, don't you. It's the older serving op tour veterans who know deep inside they have a problem that it helps imvvvvvho. And their wives who read it who can nudge their denying hubby in the subtle way they do.

On a bit of a tangent, my nephew went through Lympstone a few years ago and they had a lecture on PTSD from 'Andy McNab' (don't laugh :) ). But fair play to the guy, he was/is really championing PTSD at the time and because of his background, status, fame or infamy they were sucking it up.

Not saying he had it or is any expert (I don't know), but if they are going to listen to anyone it's from somebody who has/had walked it speaking it in their language. Even if it doesn't sink in immediately; education and planting seeds has to be good.

Been on the phone to Sixth Sense, just wanting to know when the article would be put to print.

Turns out HQ BFG who have a say it what gets printed, has asked for it to be put on the side, so they can get a full PTSD Article in on the same issue.

The guy who interviewed me, is waiting for the article from them, and then both will be going in.

Seems I might have rattled a cage! who me? never ;)

Heard back on the grape vine that the article should be in one of the upcoming Prints. Maybe this thursday maybe next.

Haven`t goten it from the horses mouth, so to speak, but from a very reliable source.

Not quite what I wanted, like you guys said, things come over slightly different, but it does the job I think.

God I feel like shit, just from reading it. Before it was me and a chosen few who shared this part of my life. Now it is British Forces wide, from the UK to the South Atlantic, from Canada and Belize to Brunei. I am now officialy known as a PTSD sufferer to the British Forces world wide. Didn`t expect to feel this bad. But if it helps 1 person, serving or ex, then it has to have been worth it.
