About to graduate with my associates degree, and take a couple years off.

It's been a long road coming as it was only 5 years ago that I was diagnosed, and I was adopted by a family who couldn't understand my disease.

I spent nearly 4 of those 5 years with them, and they can't understand why I can't live there. No matter how many times I told them.

I was relatively bored in school before PTSD, but now it's almost intolerable. That, and it took my ability to do math like I used to do.

I am struggle through any math course since intro to college algebra. It's been hell, and I am not sure why.

Overall, I have some night terrors, a lot of fear that prevent me from sleeping, and other such. I fear the fear a bit. I am proud of my accomplishments, and looking to the future.

I want to help others as much as they help me, I hope to be around others who understand. Thanks for your time. It is kind of you to read my intro, and it helps me a little bit. Hopefully I can return the favor.

Welcome to the forum. I found PTSD took away my math ability too. It was always my best subject and also spelling. One of my pet peeves is bad spellers now I'm one of them. Very frustrating. My therapist says it will get better with time.

Congrats on your degree. This is a great place with lots of wonderful people and excellent articles. I think you'll like it here.
