Nicotine Gum

I had to give up smoking years back due to a nasty bout of bronchitus. I did miss the nicotine though as it perked me up and made me feel happier. Also found it decreased stress.

An alternative, nicotine gum. Anyone else tried it?

I find one every couple of days perks me up, gives me energy, also releases the stress.
So far no side effects, but I guess that is because I only have one gum every couple of days.

Does anyone else find nicotine gum relaxing?
 
I have not tried it. I quit cold turkey. Does it make you want to smoke. I have quit for 8 months now and I still get cravings. I am glad you found something that works for you. I would be afraid to try it. I think it would make me want to go back to smoking.

But good for you. I am happy for you. Thanks for sharing. I may try this for the next bad spell I have. Thank you.
 
I actually replaced cigarettes with chewing gum. I find I am a social smoker, so want to smoke around others who smoke. Now I just have some of this gum instead. It worked ok so far. Cold turkey is best though.

I just started due to high stress levels at the moment. I hope it calms down soon. I find nicotine soothes me somehow.
 
I quit smoking years ago after a bout of Pneumonia but started again a couple of years ago and it made me feel sick, I switched to an electronic cigarette (Ecigs) and I don't regret my decision.
