@Born to Run, I feel much the same as you do. I feel more relaxed in the middle of the night. No one is going to call or email, so I don't have those triggers. My psychiatrist says it's very common with his PTSD patients to feel more at ease being awake at night and sleeping during the day. I certainly do. I'm on disability, so I can do that. I do work a part time job but I can do it at night when I'm awake and feeling better. I have an extremely hard time working during the day, but I've had to this week . . . had to attend a webinar for work -- 50 minutes, yikes! I was totally braindead, and nauseous and dizzy after that. Luckily, they sent me a recording of the thing so I can refer back to it.

I have always been a night person. I do my best work at night ( freelance art & writing ). It's a completely different world at night. I love it. I also find it the most relaxing. I suffer from (mild-moderate) PTSD (related to childhood abuse/trauma) and find my anxiety is often much better at nighttime.

@LilacMoon first off...Welcome to the group, we're glad to have you! As a fellow night owl I understand what you mean. Which arts do you do? What sort of stuff do you write?
