First off, not very good with introductions, but I'll give it my best shot.
Going off the points, Currently In Houston, Texas where I was born and raised. Served in 25th ID with 2-35 Infantry, deployed to Kunar, Afghanistan in 2011-2012. I ETS'd in OCT of 2012 and took me almost a year on the dot to come to terms with what I was dealing with and get the ball rolling to seek help. After lots of bumps and detours along the road to transition I finally committed to seeking help. I was diagnosed by the VA with PTSD among other things related (sleep, anxiety). I wasn't getting anywhere with the Vonapp process, besides a letter every few months that they are investigating, so I recently hooked up with a local VFW rep to handle my case. Still waiting on word after I sent all my information to him.
Sleep is the name of the game in my life, or lack of I should say. I landed a pretty decent job, very lucky on my part, after getting out but the lack of sleep almost had me losing it. I switched to night shift and found some peace for a short while until my schedule shifted and I began experiencing the issues during the day. I have it decently balanced now, with the help of some meds, but I am still battling my mind and what it throws at me on a daily basis.
Looking forward to helping and maybe even getting some help from you guys.
Thanks
