One Kind Thing To Say About Yourself.

I am very patient with my husband who has dementia, and parkinsons. He is fading fast and yet he still has his wits about him. He found some tax papers for me today. He is full of surprises.

He tore his good t shirt taking it off this morning and I sewed it for him. I have him pick out his clothes for himself each day.

I never know what he will do next. I am very patient with him. Sometimes he gets on my nerves.

I do the best I can. No matter how bad I feel I keep on keeping on. I think that is a very good thing. I have a good heart.

I am improving in terms of my PTSD.

I am wistful about the person that I could have been without PTSD and complex trauma, but not overwhelmed by this. I am mindful of this reality. It is a nice change.

I am balancing a wide range of needs. I am managing well. I am brave to consider all the options.

I am courageous. I am daring. I have the shortest hair my parents have ever seen. And I am proud about that. It was my choice.

I get knocked down a lot, but I always get back up. Some times I have to rest before it do it, but I always get back up (even if I have to stay in bed). LOL

Despite my illnesses, I think I'm a good mother. Not a perfect one, but a good one.

Today I am happy as I am all peopled out and I am going home. 6 days was too much, I did know that from another time I was here and again, I got peopled out at Day 4, but I know that for next time and I can adjust accordingly. Hopefully next time I will remember.
