One Kind Thing To Say About Yourself.

Something I forget sometimes, which is incredibly helpful. I'm not one of Them, all the 'Them's' out there, who commit the unspeakable acts, from the deliberate unkindnesses to the flatly despicable abuses. It's not in my core, I wasn't born with that capability. Perhaps I can't claim it as a kind thing to say about myself, since it was something inherent in the makeup, but it IS something I'm genuinely appreciative of. Going to get a bumper sticker made.

Recently heard of a bumper sticker that said, "Don't judge me because I sin differently than you do."

I am a survivor. I reach out to help others. I try to make a difference in the world. I try to make the world a better place.

I am very strong on the inside. It was me that talked my daughter into going to the police.

I like that, Gizmo. It's SO wierd, sometimes, isn't it? You look at a world gone mad and can't quite believe you have to say ' Um, look folks, NO. ' I'm still having a tough, tough time with this. My parents were ( this is completely true ) being shoved into nursing homes, towards death, having their home, money and belongings very, very openly swiped from them without them IN it- it was other-worldly to see, like what you see on Jerry Springer or something. I AM happy with myself for having said 'Er- nooooooo, not going to happen', but as far as I'm concerned this was truly just being NORMAL in a world gone mad. I'm sure your daughter knew to do that,what you had to do, but in a world which is upside down, tough to identify how crazy it all got. take action. I'm not explaining it very well, please excuse.

I am bravely challenging and changing myself. I am learning to look after myself.

Gosh I am doing things today, despite feeling so overwhelmed and dissociated. This really is so very brave of me. I am off for some exercise and physical activity.

I'm fairly non judgmental. It sometime's works against me as then people think their views need to become mine, when all I'm doing is welcoming their differences...not, necessarily, embracing them.
