Hi, it is not a chat issue, it is a connection issue / browser issue at your end. It is a flash chat, is extremely stable and well tested. I would suggest the use of Firefox and you need a stable connection to chat... wireless is not stable as it disconnects and logs you out without you knowing it.

anthony - when I first came here I was able to access chat, but can't now. Is this because I'm in moderation? I'm not sure if I did something wrong and got "booted" as it were. Or am I just being a bit slow in how to use the site? The chat was super helpful to just connect with people when I needed to "chat" and connect with someone.

Hi Anthony. I have another question. Was just wondering if you knew why when I am on Chat it tells me that my time has expired and i need to log in again. Is this another connection issue? Thanks for your help.

Is comes back to your original issue... to be in chat you must be logged into the forum. The chat is only for registered users, so if the chat cannot read you are logged into the forum, then it will kick you out. Wireless connects disconnect to save bandwidth and all sorts of other issues. You need to ensure your wireless connection is set to persistent within the settings. Consult relevant equipment manuals to find this.

Hi thanks for the answer. I have read the FAQ and a bunch of other useful sections (they are really helpful) - just got worried since it says "Members who DO NOT comply with the rules and policy documents will be moderated / remain moderated until such time as compliance is met" in the global message portion!! Thought I'd messed up some how!! Good to know i haven't yet!!

Anywho - this gives me a chance to say thanks for having this forum. PTSD can be a very lonely thing and despite my shyness posting here it is a very positive thing being here. So thanks to you and the editors. SR
