Open Mouth, Insert Foot

I keep putting my foot in my mouth. This happens so often, I feel it must be in my genes. Today's fiasco is too complicated to express. I can say that I said something insulting enough that it could insult just about anyone. I was not thinking when I said it. I'm so embarrassed!

Tell us about your fiascoes. I will not feel so alone when you do.

I cant think off hand but know I do it. Too many times I have wished I just could put those words back in my mouth. I do have a filter most of the time, but on occasion, I dont know I do it....you are not alone.

there is an unfortunately terrible habit amongst my coworkers to "one-up" each other with extremely dark humor that i have periodically transposed to life on the other side of a computer screen. needless to say my spouse has not taken those moments well. i have said some truly terrible things and moments later, you know. OK, grief, this is a grocery store at 5pm. calm down.
