Our cats

Cat. Please. After you. No, no. I insist.

I may have to physically leave the house for a few days, if I want the problem dealt with.
She sees you as "dominant cat". I have had cats for 30+ years and much their social structure stuff still escapes me. 9 months now I have been trying to figure out which if the girls is dominant. When they play with their favorite toy...one suddenly stops and the other starts.
Some cats just don't want to be dominant though....my Mittens was like that. Her an Spooky fought a pitched 3 month battle and Mittens won, but when she did - she kinda went "well - this is what I was fighting for?" and Spooky took over again. Mittens was a lot like your cat though - so sweet, and polite. Miss her....

My boys taking care of their old lady. She was some kind of throwback to an earlier version of the Burmese breed and half the size of her younger cousins.

Yeah, I get that- same with our girls. 9 months old now and they usually get referred to as Thing 1 and Thing 2, or the monsters.

By themselves - they are sweet little kitties - together....🙄

It’s about 20 degrees hotter out than it usually is, and TheCat has been loving it. But? Instead of aiming his whole furry body for the “sunny spot” to roll around in sunshine? He is very deliberately placing exactly ONE body part in the sun, and keeping the rest in shade. Then after about half an hour? Switching body parts. He’ S currently on his head. Which means next up is a back foot.

I never sunbathe that smart. I just burn all over to get the base tan going.

Mine are being really amusing lately. Missy - is like a girl in grade school that really likes you but doesn't want you to know. She hangs out just close enough I can barely reach her to pet her. When Pearl goes to sleep on my recliner footrest, Missy finds a place just out of sight and makes enough noise to arouse her curiosity, then when Pearl gets sucked in to playing, Missy comes and steals her spot.

It's so funny, all the little games they play.....

One of four, but in typical orange cat fashion he has claimed me in the goofiest of ways. He has been a delight. He was kind and accepting of "the bird," honest to god he loved having the bird on his back walking around the house. He is quite lovely. He has the best sense of humor, good sport, really.
