Our cats

Looking like a hare today in the sunshine.

We’re in the middle of a “heat wave” (it’s not really that hot, but it was a 40-60degree increase overnight, so even those of us desert bred are a bit… grumpy).

TheCat? Is currently insisting on dining al fresco.

He stands by his food. Untouched. Then walks to the sliding glass door. And stands by it. And walks back to his food. And walks back to the door. Until someone obliges him and moves his food outside. At which point he devours it, and stretches out to his limits to lay limp in the sun.

It’s cracking me up.

Cats sense of smell is their gateway to the world isn't it?

Every night without fail - Missy comes to check out my dinner. If she likes how something smells she will ask for a taste.

No there's no eating off the plate - never. Just a taste here and there, because you know the old saying - curiosity killed the cat.....satisfaction brought it back.
